What is the Engineering Learnership Programme?

The Valterra Platinum Engineering Learnership is a 36-month programme combining:

Off-the-job theoretical training in accredited trade schools
On-the-job workplace learning at Mototolo Mine
Practical skill development under supervision of qualified artisans
A pathway to a nationally recognized artisan qualification

Trade Disciplines Offered:

Electrician – Industrial electronics, electrical drawings, electrotechnology
Boilermaker / Plater – Structural steelwork, welding, interpretation of mechanical drawings

Are you Eligible? Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have one of the following:

Grade 12 (Matric) with: Mathematics, Physical Science, and English (minimum 40%)
Or N2 – N6 qualification in relevant trade subjects
Or NCV Level 4 certificate with trade-related subjects (40% minimum each)

Other requirements:

South African citizen under 35 years of age
Proof of residence (for host community preference)
Certified copies of ID and qualifications
Computer literacy an advantage
