Purpose of the Programme

The Rural Metro EMS Fire Fighter Learnership is designed to equip unemployed South African youth with accredited emergency service skills. The programme’s focus is to build capacity in fire suppression, rescue techniques, hazardous material handling, and basic emergency care.

By the end of the two years, learners will have earned recognised qualifications, practical workplace experience, and the confidence to serve as professional firefighters and emergency responders in both public and private emergency management sectors.

Minimum Requirements / Eligibility
