The Unilever YES Programme is a 12-month internship providing unemployed South African youth aged 18–34 with valuable workplace readiness training, professional networks, and real-world exposure. Interns will be placed across diverse business functions, such as:

Qualification:
- Matric (Grade 12) is required
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma/Degree) is advantageous
Experience:
- No more than 2 years’ work experience
- Must not have participated in a YES Programme previously
Eligibility:
- South African citizen aged 18 – 34 years
- Currently unemployed and not studying full-time
- Strong academic record with basic computer literacy
- Committed to completing the 12-month internship
Key Performance Areas
As part of the YES Programme, interns will gain exposure to:
- Customer Development (CD): Managing retail client relationships and driving sales initiatives
- Culinary Support: Assisting with product samples, demos, and content creation
- Marketing: Enhancing brand awareness and consumer engagement
- Supply Chain: Supporting sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution processes
- Human Resources: Assisting in talent acquisition and employee engagement projects
- Finance: Supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting
- IT: Contributing to digital transformation and technical support initiatives
- Mechanical Engineering: Practical learning in manufacturing operations
- Safety, Health & Environment (SHE): Implementing safety systems and reducing workplace risks
- Communications: Supporting internal and external communication activities
